What we set
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. What follows is the complete list: the entries the site needs in order to work, and one that remembers a choice you made yourself.
| Name | Type | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-* (Supabase session) | Strictly necessary | Keeps a signed-in visitor signed in between pages. | Until sign-out, or one week of inactivity |
| nb-recovery | Strictly necessary | Marks a password-reset link as opened so the new-password screen can be shown. | A few minutes |
| nb-locale | Preference | Remembers the language a visitor chose, so the site opens in it next time. | One year |
| nb-saved (browser storage) | Preference | Holds a property a visitor tried to save before signing in, so the save completes afterwards. | Until the save completes or the browser clears it |
Why there is no cookie banner
Spanish guidance exempts two kinds of cookie from consent: those strictly necessary to provide a service the visitor has asked for, and those that store a preference the visitor set themselves. Everything in the table above is one or the other, so there is nothing to ask you about. If analytics or advertising is ever added to this site, a consent banner has to come with it.
Turning them off
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Privacy in its settings. Blocking the strictly necessary entries will stop you being able to sign in or stay signed in; everything else on the site will still work.
Content from other sites
Where an article embeds a video, the video is loaded from YouTube or Vimeo when you press play, and those services may set their own cookies at that point. YouTube videos are embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, which sets nothing until playback starts. See the privacy policy for the full list of services involved.
